How to Build Community Around Your Brand

The pandemic challenged many small business owners to get creative. In 2020 I was busy helping leaders pivot into online marketplaces. After meeting so many thought leaders, I understood that community was vital to the sustainability of my brand.

In 2018, I held the first International Women Build Confidence Conference TM with 23 individuals. This event would later set the stage for the subsequent work I would have to help leaders and entrepreneurs get seen and heard. The thought of forming this conference came to me after I attended a Motivating the Masses event with Lisa Nichols and Susie Carder.

I became a student of the entrepreneurial journey and did the following:

  1. Activated my 10 thousand hours of doctoral research

  2. Read books by Jim Rohn, Les Brown, Myles Munroe, Susie Carder, Brian Tracey, Dale Carnegie, John Maxwell, Iyanla Vanzant, Oprah Winfrey, Suze Orman, and so many others

  3. Provided service to libraries, leadership centers, professional organizations, rotary clubs, universities, and civic organizations

Here are some ways to build tribe around your Brand:

  • Form a club that highlights the core values of your brand

  • Join other mastermind associations to connect with those who share your interests

  • Create a learning experience that moves people into action
